Are you getting the most from your life?

In today's busy world, the demands placed upon every of us seems to be continually increasing. And with the current economic conditions, for many of us the stakes have become even higher. Jobs, housing, finances, family.... keeping them all safe and in a healthy state just takes more effort and time.

And the sense of uncertainty in today's world, coupled with longer working hours (or the lack of a job), more pressure at work, higher workloads, restrictions on finances, plus the increasing complexity and busy-ness of the media and internet world.... all these and more increase the amount of strain on a person, and ultimately can lead to stress or burn out.

Work / Life Balance

Work / life balance is an ideal that many companies aspire to, but the reality is that as fewer staff are employed to do the same amount of work, as colleagues are signed off ill from the strain of increased working pressure, so it becomes harder for those left in their jobs to achieve much quality of life at all. Yet this is essential for being able to carry on working at these levels and stay healthy.

Quality of Life

It's one thing to be able to survive the challenges of working under pressure. But quite another to feeling fulfilled in your life, and getting the most from it. Hobbies, interests, friends, leisure, sport, 'me' time, a good social life, personal goals, taking part in our community.... all of these can contribute to a sense of richness in your life.

So what can I do?

Modern life is becoming so full that, every now and again, most of us have times when we might benefit from some skilled input to help put some balance back and refocus on what matters.
